Dear Parents and Guardians:

Welcome to the Llano Independent School District and the 2013-2014 school year.  I want to take this opportunity to convey our gratitude to you, the parents, for striving to make our school district one of the top in the state.  Without your support and involvement, our educational successes would never have been possible.  Llano ISD has a rich, strong tradition of excellence in education.   Whether our students are in the classroom or participating in extra-curricular activities, they exhibit the best our community has to offer.  Serving approximately 1800 students, the staff at Llano Independent School District is committed to student success.  Community involvement, parent participation, dedicated staff members, and outstanding students combine to make Llano ISD one of the best in the state.

It is often said that the classroom is a place where miracles happen.  In truth, the classroom is a place filled with young people who are small miracles developing into bigger miracles, who will turn around and create even bigger miracles.  There is no denying that this is impossible without a great staff.  Our young students will be fostered by a dedicated Llano I.S.D. staff, teaching them important life skills and lessons that will help them build rich and rewarding lives. When you see one of our LISD staff members out and about, please give them a pat on the back and a thank you for the great job that they do with our students.

Very soon we will see active students around the campuses preparing to represent themselves, their community, and their school.   As I have shared with you before, my high school principal, Mr. Lee Graham, instilled in me a few words that are more than just a saying, “Win with Class and Lose with Dignity”.  These expectations are instilled in our students, and we as fans need to match the dedication of our students.  I am excited about the coming school year and all that it will bring.

If there is ever anything I can do to improve the educational services offered by Llano ISD, please don’t hesitate to contact me.  You can find a variety of information on our website.  I hope you find our site informative and helpful:    www.llanoisd.org.

Sincerely,

Casey Callahan
