The architect team, program manager, LISD administration and staff from the various campuses continue to meet to discuss the facility needs and establish the “program“ needs of the interior spaces. These meetings will continue throughout the summer and as the design progresses the architect team

will further develop the plans and specifications for the improvements.

Design of the new softball and baseball fields continues with the topographical survey nearing completion. An early bid package for "rough grading" and site utilities is being developed in an effort to get the site work done and sod completed by November 15th.

The final geo-technical investigation will be completed as soon as the toographical survey is complete.

The architect/engineering team and staff continue to evaluate the location of the new transportation facility and the circulation of traffic in and around the LES campus including the location of pickup/drop off points.

Demolition of the old "Music Hall" at LES is complete.

A "partial" GMP for the early bid package for the new baseball/softball complex is scheduled to be presented to the Board in August. The remaining portion of the new baseball/softball complex is anticipated to be presented in September.

The overall schedule is to have construction documents for the new construction completed by the end of the year with construction set to begin next spring.

The schedule for completing the new baseball/softball complex is going to be challenging.

The project team will continues to meet regularly to further define the design of the new facilities and coordination of the projects.
