This month's Spotlight is on Llano Elementary School.
Principal Kim Stubblefield explained to the Board that 4th and 5th Grade Students participated in the Junior American Citizens Contest put on by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. This year's contest explored the 100th Anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier: Rise and Shine for Duty and Patriotism.
Mrs. Easley, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. McIntosh, and Mrs. Watson sponsored the 4th and 5th Graders that entered posters, stamps, or essays in the contest. Students shared facts that they learned whiled working on the projects, read some of their essays, and described their posters.
