November 14, 2022 - Llano Junior High

This month's Spotlight is on Llano Junior High.
 
Principal, Neda Bauman, introduced Band Director, Teresa Mazur, who led the LJH Band with an amazing rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner."
 
LJH Athletic Director, Kemp Lowery, then introduced the 8th Grade Football Team.  They were District Champs with a perfect 8-0 record.  The team scored a season total of 283 points to opponents total of 30 points.
 
Next, Ms. Bauman introduced the LJH Cross Country teams for Coach Casey Kendrick who was absent due to coaching basketball.  The 7th grade girls were the District Runner-up Team.  The 8th grade girls were District Champions.  The 8th grade boys were also District Champions, with Townes Smith winning 1st place.
 
LJH Art Teacher, Veronica Kuykendall, then introduced some of her Art 2 students.  They showed off their talents with a display of artwork.

A large number of boys were unable to attend because they were competing in basketball that evening.
